If you said, "Charlie Brown"… okay. Even R2-D2 and C-3PO have trouble matching the cuteness of Snoopy and Woodstock. But Ziggy? He's like… a blatant knock-off Charlie Brown, the whole "being a loser is funny and sweet" shtick, except with obesity thrown in for good measure.

Star Wars was CHiPs in space and it just doesn't get any better than that.
