I have an Atari and about 50 games and it still works! lots of fun ahhh.... those where the days.

Intellivision was incredible, what with its "calling to order pizza" keypad, its "hope you never lose these" overlays, and its super-ergonomic "press the heck out of it with your thumb till your knuckles cramp up" disc control.

Plus the original console had a special feature that modern console makers seem to have overlooked.

I recently sold my half used kiss make up kit on ebay for $200. (Oh the money my mom must have thrown out over the years!) – I remember taking the Atari controlers apart trying to repair the plastic disk inside.

I had a Atari as a kid. I think I still have it out in the garage somewhere.

I too hated George Plimpton and those commercialsof his putting down Atari.

My friend had Intellivision with the voice module and B-17 bomber. He was also the first on the block with a Commodore 64.

I don’t think that I had the Remco Kiss Your Face set. I believe it was just some sort of generic black and white grease paint.

Intellivision was definitely a step up in graphics and sophistication from Atari, but all I remember is it taking HOURS to play a game of football b/c every play you ran required you to choose from a long list of options and then input a mulit-digit code. Then you'd sit back, watch the play transpire, and go back to work on the next play.

Atari may have been simplistic, but it was more fun!
