I know them all inside and out.
For example, that Abega were just the trio of ships used by the piltos to reach the actual robots that forms Albegas and going inside them: during the show the 3 ships were rarely used for more than that.
They were a very marginal element and this is reflected in their simplistic design. I’m not surprised if they were the least popular, expecially if they were sold as indipendent unit without any connection or explanation given about the source material.
It would be like pretending to sell the goblin glider without the Green Goblin to kids who don’t even know who the Green Goblin is XD
