    Hello from Italy, Plaid
regarding the crimefighter deluxe electric car I think it's a retooling of another toy since it's an adaptation of a 1971 Porsche 917 K, (see here http://mfpilot.com/images/Fujimi1971Porsche917K.jpg)
    Nice taste in cars indeed!

    terrific blog! compliments & ciao

With the nostalgia craze of the early 70s, I wonder if whoever owned The Shadow license thought they could cash in on people's interest in all things from the 30s and 40s. There was also a lot of Doc Savage merch around at the time. I think he may have been just a little too dark for people's sensibilities back then.

Thanks for the post! I actually received the deluxe edition Shadow vehicle for Christmas the year it came out. I still have it although most of the little driving posts that went on the bottom are lost. I can't tell you if its a retool or anything other than I thought it was awesome. (I was aware of the Shadow back then as a kid due to my sister's Shadow paperback collection and my brother's Shadow comic book collection.)
