1977 Mattel boys toys Catalog

With the demise of Big Jim, Mattel put forth a great deal of new product into the channel in 1977, the only hold over from the previous year being the licensed TV sci-fi series, Space:1999.

Mattel introduced three new lines, toys based on the sitcom Welcome Back Kotter, Organic Superhero Pulsar and Giants from Japan, The Shogun Warriors.

By the next year, both TV lines would be gone but Mattel would expand Pulsar and the runaway hit Shogun Warriors..
