Hot on the heels of Big Jim and the Lone Ranger, the Fighting Furies toy line made a big splash in 1974, these well crafted figures exploited the pirate theme.

I'm unclear if the Captain Hook and Peg Leg are friends or enemies, I guess it was to kids to decide, what a novel concept..

These guys were just slightly taller than Mego figures, making them perfect to cross into several toy lines territory.

The outfits followed the standard trend, I miss seeing stuff like this in stores.

The vinyl Pirate playcase is just a winning toy, it was offered through many catalog houses like Sears and Aldens.
