Collegeville was one of the leading halloween costume manufacturers of the late twentieith century.
This extensive 1968 catalog really demonstrates the power house licenses they were rocking in the 60s, including the "blockbuster" Doctor Doolittle, Tarzan, Major Matt Mason and TV's Mr.Spock from a then mildly popular show called "Star Trek".
Doolittle was the star of the catalog but in truth the film was a merchandising disaster which made movie toys poison for years. It would take Apjac's other film "Planet of the Apes" to renew faith in movie merch..
No surprise to see Popeye or Woody Woodpecker.
Nice to see "The Bat" and "The Spider" (both costumes I wore) were around three years before i was.
I love the Spock and Matt Mason cotumes THIS much!
